Cuts on wax

Cuts on Wax was created by the love of vinyl records, the passion of collecting and music in general. The purpose of creating a timeless medium, an object that lasts and offers the warmth & richness of raw analog sound.

A devotion to music and design.

An immediacy of creating something unique, tailored just by your needs and taste.

Cuts On Wax is also a one-stop music production studio, offering a holistic approach from the concept of a musical idea to the final product.

Based in Athens, Greece, Cuts on Wax is a small startup company funded by the EU.

We provide short run vinyl records for bands, producers, small labels, ideal for limited & special edition releases . These custom records are high quality stereo lathe cuts, sounding similar to pressed records.

Each record comes with white centre stickers and anti-static sleeve.

Our records are just as durable as regular pressings and are cut with a diamond stylus straight into the vinyl record. No minimum orders.

Enjoy warm, analog sound of your recordings!

lathe cut vinyl

We offer lathe cut vinyl in stereo at 33 1/3 rpm and 45 rpm. Each record is hand cut and one of a kind. Two identical pieces can’t be cut. This is a different process than store bought vinyl from a pressing plant. It's a completely different process. There are some limitations to the format but is closely comparible in quality and durability to pressed vinyl. We currently offer 7”, 10" and 12" in Black, Transparent, White, Red, Green, Blue , our very own patented Gold, Silver and 140 (1,5mm) or 180 (2mm) grams. We also make 7” & 12” Picture Discs.

The packaging is a full color heavy paper stock that's cut and glued, including a white dust cover as well as clear poly sleeve. Each record comes with front and back center labels either black and white or full color (free). For DJs we also offer plain black cover with black or white center label. Lathe cut vinyl has been around since the 1950's and has been collected by vinyl enthusiasts for decades.
